California-based Syd Mead is a visual futurist and concept artist best known for his designs for science-fiction films such as Blade Runner, Aliens and Tron. The exhibition ‘Syd Mead: Progressions’ features more than 50 original paintings spanning the artist’s celebrated five-decade career. Mead’s Toyota Lecture looks back on his half-century of envisioning the future.

Toyota Lecture Series Presents Syd Mead

Detroit Science Center is looking to fill a full-time salaried position for a Video Editing Coordinator. Although the job title focuses exclusively on the editing aspect, the ideal applicant would be proficient in both editing and videography. Projects would include working with others on the production staff to create exciting content for the Planetarium, 4D Toyota Engineering Theater, and exhibits.
