Detroit ACM SIGGRAPH will be touring Raleigh Michigan Studios in Pontiac on Wed. May 23rd from 6-7:30pm.**Note Date Change
The tour will be about an hour and a half, and we will run through how the studio came to be, what it can do, what productions it has worked with, etc. On our tour we will view the sound stages, hair and make up department, wardrobe department, screening rooms, visual effects and many other departments.
Registration is encouraged so we can anticipate how many plan on attending.

Is responsible for maintaining the Chapters Active and in compliance status with ACM & ACM SIGGRAPH. This involves making sure Annual report is submitted on time, That the chapter holds at least 4 events a year, that the chapters leaders are in communication with ACM SIGGRAPH. That the Chapter profile on ACM’s chapter administration is up date.
Handles Presidential responsibilities when President is unavailable. Works with and supports Membership/Treasurer/Secretary when they need additional resources/manpower. Also responsible,with the help of the President, on running Chapter Elections.
Handles membership interaction. Makes sure membership information up to date. Works with 123Signup membership management tool. Sends out renewal reminders (every 3-4 months). Oversees outreach to members to get them involved. Reports membership figures(Paid members, lapsed members, New/renewed members within last mo/3mo’s at board meetings.
Maintains summary of chapter financial activity, checking account, paypal account, use of debit card. Cashing checks to checking account. Submits financial summary in required Annual ACM SIGGRAPH chapter report.
Maintains Meeting Notes and makes them access-able. Maintains Summary of events and activities so that they can be reported in Annual report(Event name, location, number of attendees, type of event) . Organizes and maintains Images and video as part of Organizations history. Tends to work back and forth with the Communication committee

Eastern Michigan University graduate Mark Welser, the digital crowd supervisor,for Oscar-winning Ryhthm & Hues Studios in California, will share his knowledge in a series of free workshops Nov. 22-23 at EMU’s College of Technology(Sill Hall). The one-hour sessions with Welser are free and open to the public.
